My website and

Hey yall..I am super happy about the grand re-opening of my website. I have worked really hard to design it, although it's not really flashy, I still like it. I think it will work better this way. I get tons of emails and most times I cannot find the time to answer each and every one of them. 50% of the emails I get are in reference to the palettes and the brushes. This way you will have access to all the items that I sell. http://www.everything4adiva.com Now don't laugh when you see it. It's a bit cheesy but I just so happen to love it:) Oh, I did want to let yall know that I got the neutral colored palettes in..They should arrive on Friday. I get a lot of request for those as well.

I'm trying to get ahold of the creme sticks that I use in a lot of my tuts. They are very generic but they get the job done. I can't seem to find them though..I will continue to look for them and once I do, I'll try to get a order in.

So..what's new in everyone elses world...Nothing much in mine. I did get a new addition to my household for about 3 weeks. His name is Kailin, he's 2 months and he is the sweetest, cutest, chubbiest baby around. He's so sweet but my cousin has spoiled him rotten.

Anyhoo, I'm currently brewing up new ideas for my next contest. When it comes to these kind of things I am not the most creative in the world. Any suggestions would be nice.>So...what do yall say. I believe that is it for now..I gotta run..Duties call:) Love yall.

My very first contest...yay for me.

For all of you all who does not keep up with my channel...I've got great news. I am doing my very first contest and I am super excited about it. I was trying to find something original to do and something that wasn't overdone. Then I thought about it..the toucan look. I think it was the best thing because even though it has lots of colors..it's really not a hard look to pull off. I wanted to give everyone a chance to enter and I don't wanting people thinking that they cannot compete. Anyhow yall..just wanted to tell yall about my little contest..have a good one.

M.A.C My first experience with them in over 2 years

Ok..I went to the mall the other day go shopping and decided I would stop by the M.A.C counter to see if the MUA's had gotten any better. Sad to say..they have not..I would def much rather have Nicky B or Fauryn at a M.A.C counter than the broads that were at this one. I acted as if I'd never used their products and was completely oblivious to everthing. She asked me what I needed and that was it..didn't ask my skin type, whether or not I have hypermigmentation, easily break out of nothing..I told her that I wanted a smoothe matt foundation but that I had oily skin. The first thing she recommend was satin finish..I was like you have got to kidding me but she was dead serious...so I decided to go along with her..So..she said that first she needed to match me. Now..One of the reasons why I stopped wearing MAC foundations was not only because it seemed to break me out..They would never match me up correctly. They would look at me and just automatically put the darkest color foundation that they had...which was NW55..well...this time was no different. NW55 once again it was. Now..I have never done makeup professionally but I am definitely not new to the game..I was a avid MAC purchaser and user and I know their products and their purposes... so for this chick to give me satin foundation with oily skin just pissed me off..and then to give me the darkest foundation that they made...OOH..I'm so over them..So..back to the story..I then asked her about oxidation..I was like isn't this going to get darker on me as my skin started getting oily and she told me no..not to worry about it..then she tried to sell me some blot powder..I finally just told her to give me some wipes and makeup remover and to take this shit off my face. I also told her that she didn't know what the hell she was doing which she didn't. I asked her about application with 187 and she had to look at the numbers on the brush to know which one it was..I was like hell naw..this has got to be a joke..So to Fauryn and Nicky B..I can honestly say that you 2 are the best ones I have seen cause these chicks down here in Florida don't know shit.

Tutorials

Hey yall..I know some of yall probably wondering what happened to me but I'm still here. My memory card has given out on me and I'm waiting on my new one to arrive. I did get some new brushes and items so I'm going to be doing a youtube review on those one my memory card arrives...

How to treat your mane right:)

Lately I've been getting lots of request to do a haircare tutorial. I'm thinking about it but hair takes much longer than makeup. I just don't feel as if I can truly show the complete steps without taking shortcuts . I don't want to do this because I feel like it would in some way cheat your results..( Does that make sense) I think it does..Anyhoo.. I decided that I would start out with the products that I use frequently and provide you all with a play by play. I'm going to tell you some of the secrets that your hair stylist doesn't want you to know.

Step #1. Great conditioning shampoo

Women of color really should be careful when selecting shampoos..I know those commercials may sound great and the bottles look so fancy but I can tell you first hand that some of them they can and will destroy your hair. Most of the shampoos on the market are formulated to strip your hair or excess oils. this is why you should be very selective when making your purchase. While clarifying shampoo may work for others..it may be detremential to your hair's health. I use Creme of Nature conditioning shampoo.. It will make your hair silky and completely manageable. Creme of nature has been around for years and it just gets better and better with time. Don't sleep on the Pantene.(For relaxed and natural). It gets the job done as well.

Step #2. Conditioner

Being that I use the Conditioning shampoo, I find that an additional conditioner isn't necessary in most cases but If you have extremely dry hair go ahead..Use pantene conditioner..It's lovely.

Lets move straight to the treatments shall we.

Step #3. Hot oil treatment

This isn't your normal VO5 hot oil. This can be made in the privacy of your "kitchen"

You are going to need a few items

1. 1/4 cup (depending on length of hair) Extra Virgin Olive oil

2. 1 Tbsp= honey

3. Small plastic storage ziplock bag

4. Scissors

5. Shower cap

6. 3 cups very hot water

Ok..Now I know some of you all are like she is really tripping with those ingredients but hold tight. You will see where I'm going with this.

First pour your olive oil directly into plastic bag, add honey. Don't worry about trying to combine the 2. It won't work..just let it go. Make sure bag is sealed. Then take glass bowl or pyrex measuring cup(this is what I use) and fill with hot water. Place the plastic bag into water for about 3 to 5 minutes..You want it very warm but not hot enough to boil the hair off your head... Now..here comes the fun part. Grab a towel because it is going to get really messy. You've got 2 ways of handling this...You can apply product with you hand or you can cut a very small hole in the bottom of your ziplock bag and use to apply..This is the easier, less messy way. Apply to hair and make sure ends are covered. Using fingers massage into scalp. Cover with plastic cap and let it ride for about 10 to 15 minutes. Once your time is up, remove cap and rinse well. You may want to shampoo lightly once to remove residue. Chances are you will look like Mister from the Color Purple for about a hour..Don't worry..it will go away. Once you are done with that you may towel dry and style as usual. This works to stop breakage dead in it's tracks. It provides the hair with the nutrients that it needs to strengthen. I do this at least once a month. Maybe 2ce in the winter. It works wonders and you will see results instantly.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now..for really bad damaged hair you are going to need something a little more powerful and I have got just the thing. The heavy hitter...This was a staple in the hair shop that I use to work in..We all swore by it and who would have ever guess that it only cost $4.99 for a bottle that will last you a year. This has saved many of my clients hair..especially those who took it upon themselves to color , bleach and or relax without having a clue of what they were doing.

Aphogee Treatment

This product is formulated to restore seriously damaged hair to normal healthy condition
By following a few little steps you will be on your way to healthy hair in no time but it has to be used as directed.

Shake well before use!

Gently cleanse hair with ApHOGEE Shampoo. Rinse thoroughly & towel blot dry.
Apply enough ApHOGEE Treatment to thoroughly saturate hair and comb blend for even distribution, this may be difficult because the treatment is of a thick consistency, if this is the case...use what GOD gave you..Your fingers.

By now..You are probably noticing the GOD awful odor coming from the bottle but fight through it..You've got healthy hair to get to.

Leaving hair uncovered. (Do not use a plastic cap) get under medium heat dryer. (You can use a hand dryer, but hair should not be agitated while drying.) Note: When ApHOGEE Treatment is dried into the hair, the hair becomes extremely hard. Do not comb or brush hair while Treatment is dried and in the hair.

Once the hair is dried and cracklin...Re-wet and gently rinse thoroughly with warm water.

(DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP)
Apply ApHOGEE Moisturizer to hair & scalp. Leave for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Proceed to next service or style as usual.

Now ladies and gents..this was a small preview of how to take care of your mane..there are so many excellent products on the market that will assist you. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I love to answer questions that has anything to do with beauty.

Want a great bargain for 20 bucks

Ok..So..I've made my ghetto palette and it's nice and all but I wanted more or shall I say needed more. I said to myself..self..you've gotta feed your addiction...and there's gotta be a way to help others feed their addiction without breaking the bank, and this I did. I came across the most beautiful palette that I'd ever laid my eyes on. Now I know you all are saying "get real" but I am so serious. It had a large array of colors..Loud colors, delicate colors, the pinks, purples, the blues, green..., just colors..I mean right up my alley. I said what the hell, take a chance and I did. I placed my order, waited patiently and it arrived . Boy was I excited when I came home from work and saw that little brown package on my table. So from there, I cracked it opened and it was more beautiful and vibrant than I'd imagined... Colors, colors and more colors...Check it out. This palette has just become my best friend because it is an extremely excellent deal for the price. Well worth the money.

I was able to create one of the most vivid rainbow eye with this palette. Still I can't believe how vibrant and pigmented these shadows were. I was seriously missing out folks. Good thing is you don't have to. I have about 40 of them on the way to my home as we speak.
