M.A.C My first experience with them in over 2 years

Ok..I went to the mall the other day go shopping and decided I would stop by the M.A.C counter to see if the MUA's had gotten any better. Sad to say..they have not..I would def much rather have Nicky B or Fauryn at a M.A.C counter than the broads that were at this one. I acted as if I'd never used their products and was completely oblivious to everthing. She asked me what I needed and that was it..didn't ask my skin type, whether or not I have hypermigmentation, easily break out of nothing..I told her that I wanted a smoothe matt foundation but that I had oily skin. The first thing she recommend was satin finish..I was like you have got to kidding me but she was dead serious...so I decided to go along with her..So..she said that first she needed to match me. Now..One of the reasons why I stopped wearing MAC foundations was not only because it seemed to break me out..They would never match me up correctly. They would look at me and just automatically put the darkest color foundation that they had...which was NW55..well...this time was no different. NW55 once again it was. Now..I have never done makeup professionally but I am definitely not new to the game..I was a avid MAC purchaser and user and I know their products and their purposes... so for this chick to give me satin foundation with oily skin just pissed me off..and then to give me the darkest foundation that they made...OOH..I'm so over them..So..back to the story..I then asked her about oxidation..I was like isn't this going to get darker on me as my skin started getting oily and she told me no..not to worry about it..then she tried to sell me some blot powder..I finally just told her to give me some wipes and makeup remover and to take this shit off my face. I also told her that she didn't know what the hell she was doing which she didn't. I asked her about application with 187 and she had to look at the numbers on the brush to know which one it was..I was like hell naw..this has got to be a joke..So to Fauryn and Nicky B..I can honestly say that you 2 are the best ones I have seen cause these chicks down here in Florida don't know shit.

Hey, give her the benefit of the doubt that she was new. I'm in Florida also and my MAC MUA's are great! They remember things I buy and my skintone and fav colors. Try another store....

I have never used MAC and probably never will. I have a very difficult time finding my shade. I am light with yellow/golden undertones & u'd think it'd be easy but I find that I have even MORE difficulty finding a shade match than a darker complexioned sistah & MAC is TOO expensive for another failure sitting in my makeup trunk. The closest I've found was L'Oreal's True Match in W8. I put it on, went in the sunlight & it looked fine. Now I know that I need a GOOD primer tho & I may use MAC for that but I hear that Smashbox has a good one also.

I've used MAC before and it was pretty good. But it really is too expensive for people to just hand you anything. Maybe they are better at other stores. L'Oreal True Match is good as well ( I have some of that too) but right now I'm using the Bare Minerals. I want to try the Mary Kay foundation you use in your videos...by the way, I love them!

What MAC counter did you go to? In what mall?

I feel your pain. I went to the one at Lenox mall in Atlanta a few years ago and the lady had no clue what color I was. But her foundation didn't look natural so I didn't want to buy from her. But the lady who did my best friend's makeup knew what she was doing. But it's not just MAC, the lady at Sephora made me look ashy. I don't know what's so difficult about black skintones that they can't it right, and in Atlanta!-Black folks every where. I love my Stila foundation. It costs but at least it matches.

LOL! Too funny!! I had a similar experience here in FL. I myself have HP and oily skin. I was given the "STUDIO TECH". SO WRONG! LOL! ...Studio Tech NW50 and a Satin pressed powder finishing in NC45! LOL. Needless to say I am a NW50 and wear the Studio Fix Fluid. I love all Makeup though. I do love the Mary Kay as well, I mix it with the Avon for the perfect color! TTYL!

Hello LeCheryl!
I´ve been trying to send u an email tru YouTube but I am having problems wth that since I just joined this afternoon....but I wanted to say something related wth the nasty message u received the other day about the MAC products and your palettes. Please don´t pay attention to that kind of messages and focus on what you do, I´ve been watching your videos and I can tell you girl they r amazing and helpful!! The ¨Beauty¨ comes from the inside and it´s reflected on the outside.
BTW, I hope this message can get across since my English is not that good.
Regards!
